MOVE FOR LIFE ist eine Kunst-Aktion im öffentlichen Raum, ihr Aktionsfeld sind Strassen, Plätze und Werkhallen. MOVE FOR LIFE verlässt die ursprünglich für Kunst reservierten Räume wie Museen, Galerien und Kunsthallen und begibt sich dorthin, wo Menschen leben und arbeiten. MOVE FOR LIFE ist in Bewegung. Auf Lastern, Transportern, im europäischen Strassenverkehr. Move for Live! ist eine gesellschaftspolitische Aktion, wie es sie noch nie gegeben hat. MOVE FOR LIFE sind bewegte und bewegende Bilder.
Trucks sind hervorragend als Träger der Botschaften von MOVE FOR LIFE geeignet. Fachverbände gehen davon aus, dass ein Truck pro Jahr an die 250000 km quer durch ganz Europa zurücklegt und damit an die 25 Millionen Blickkontakte provoziert. MOVE FOR LIFE bedient sich der Außenwände der Trucks als Träger ihrer Botschaften in Form so genannter «Monumental Statements». Der Lastzug wird damit zum Kultur-Truck, zum Kunst-Objekt auf Rädern.
Die «Monumental Statements» gegen Armut, Gewalt, Aids, Rassismus und Umweltzerstörung werden von international renommierten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern gestaltet. Trucks mit Motiven von Robert Rauschenberg, Jochen Gerz, Atelier Van Lieshout und andere sind bereits on the road.
MOVE FOR LIFE
MOVE FOR LIFE is an art-action which takes place in public; its fields of action are streets, squares and factory halls. MOVE FOR LIFE leaves the sites originally reserved for art, such as museums, galleries and art halls and is present where people live and work. MOVE FOR LIFE actuates – on trucks, transporters, on the European road network. MOVE FOR LIFE is a socio-political action one has never seen before. MOVE FOR LIFE presents emotional and touching pictures.
Trucks are a brilliant medium for the spreading of messages created by MOVE FOR LIFE. Trade associations estimate that a truck covers a distance of 250’000 kilometres a year throughout the European road network, thus provoking around 25 million eye-contacts. MOVE FOR LIFE makes use of the exterior of the trucks to present the messages in terms of so-called “Monumental Statements”. The truck becomes a culture-truck, an art-object on wheels.
Famous international artists design these “Monumental Statements” against poverty, violence, Aids, racism and environmental destruction. Trucks designed by Robert Rauschenberg, Jochen Gertz and Studio Van Lieshout are already on the road.
